Silverstone is the first approved son of Champion du Lys, who won many Grand Prix with Ludger Beerbaum and also the Derby of Hamburg. His sire, Laeken, also jumped internationally and is, just like Le Mexico, a son of the Furioso xx son Mexico. Furthermore, we find the twice-Olympic stallion Carthago, who also sires strongly in the jumping direction. Then the Ramiro x Gotthard son, Renomee, also sired more international jumping horses. The thoroughbreds Thuswin xx and Anblick xx provide the necessary blood.
The dam Marthago is a real Holstein breeding mare. She became ‘Keur’ and she received in her EPTM test, three times an 8 and a 9 for jumping. Grand dam Aline is the dam of the stallion Laralle and the international jumping horse Corniola.
Silverstone received the highest points, during the Stallion Test, ever for jumping in years: scope 9 - technique 8˝ - scope 9˝ and talent for jumping 9. He finished in 1st place for jumping and a 3rd place in the total classification.
Silverstone is doing very well in the Stallion competitions: He won the stallioncompetition 2006/2007, in this competition he won with rider Dennis van Tilburg 3 out of the 4 qualification rounds. In the Stallioncompetition of 2005/2006 he received the 2nd place.
He has everything what a stallion needs to compete at the highest level: a lot of scope and carefulness. Out of his first breeding year one of his sons was selected for the stallion test and placed 5th in the jumping bred final of the stallion approvals. In 2005 his son Amazing RV was reserve-Champion of the foal show in Tolbert and this year Bridgestone RV was Champion of the foalshow in Tolbert.
