The American Quarter Horse

temperament, and incredible trainability, yet it is known as the fastest
horse in the world over quarter of a mile. The breed whilst numerically
small in the UK competes in disciplines ranging from Dressage to Mounted
games, or side saddle to eventing. For those wanting a sensible, reliable,
highly intelligent, safe mount with the benefit of quality looks, an incredible
turn of speed and agility there can be no better.

Quick to learn and very gentle!
"Charlie" regularly hacks out with children on their ponies and
is very quiet in traffic, he is ridden, trained and shown in an American
bitless bridle such is his laid-back nature and trainability. He will sire
foals of great temperament, suitable for beginner or experienced riders
alike. His Perlino colour guarantee that any foal he sires will have a palomino
gene.
Laid back attitude
Charlie was gently broken over the winter of 2005. Within a week of being
backed he was turning his hoof to cattle work including loping after them
and, despite the abundance of wide open spaces, he responded very calmly
and sensibly, yet still proved he had that necessary burst of speed, just
when it was required. He was turned away until the summer of 2006 and was
an absolute dream coming back into work, he happily hacked out on our busy
country roads on his own or in company and enjoyed the longer excursions
round the local bridle paths.
He has been regularly attending clinics at Carlisle in preparation for the
show season. He has amazed spectators with his extremely laid back attitude
to life even in the close proximity of in season mares and other stallions.
