Chello III already has 2 approved brothers, Chello I and Chello II.
Sire Contender (Calypso II x G. Ramiro Z) is a statement. As well in the dressage breeding as in the jumping horses his children perform at the highest level. Contender is sired by Calypso II, a stallion known for siring international performance horses with great jumping ability and great rideability. He was one of the most significant sires in Germany. Contender's mother, Gofine, produced top class show jumpers. Contender won his 100 day performance test in Adelheidsdorf with scores of 1/45/133/119R/147S. He is the sire of multiple approved sons including Concerto II, Camiros, Contendro I and II, Checkmate, Montender and others. He has been called the stallion of the century and he is the most prized stallion of the Holsteiner Verband.
Calypso II was a type stallion with tremendous personality and powerful appearance. He had a broad neck and thick throatlatch. Good lines with a clear, smooth shoulder, wither and loin. He was a fabulous mover and was naturally marvellous to ride, a trait which he passed on to his offspring. Calypso II has been one of the most important sires in both Holstein and Hannover where he bred international competitors, and influential breeding stallions.
Dam Gracia III is a daughter of Sandro, a succesfull jumping horse ridden
by Franke Sloothaak. Sandro comes from the thoroughbred Sacramento Song
xx.
Sandro Z is one of the most succesfull breeding stallions in both dressaage
& showjumping as well as being one of the first stallions to prove himself
in the sport. Under Franke Sloothaak he accumulated winnings amounting to
DM 55,000. Sandro Z's progeny are very sought after for sport horses. At
the The Hague World Equestrian Games (1994) he had three representatives,
no less, in Sandro Song (Ante Simlesa), Safari (Michael Abo) and Paradiso
(Rolf-Göran Bengtsson). Sandro Z has more than forty licensed sons including
Silvio I and II, Sandro Song and Salido Z. Many of his offspring are performing
at the highest level showjumping as well as dressage.
Granddam Werona is the daughter of the influential Cor de la Bryčre. On the base of this good Holsteiner Line 318 D2 is the wellknown Ramiro-mare Golda. Also from this line are the stallions Corofino I and II, Coriano, Diarado and Crawford.
Chello III is a stallion who has a great exterior and 3 excellent gaits.
